The Edinburgh Festival first began in 1947 and continues to grow in size and variety to this day. Every year, tourists and performers flock to the capital city to soak up the atmosphere at one of the largest arts festivals of the world. The festival brings in over 3000 shows and 250,000 visitors throughout August.
